While we can't say for certain whether it's technically illegal, it's highly recommended that you do not put petrol in a diesel tank.
This is due to a variety of risks and potential violations of safety regulations:
Unless specified all our water tanks are designed and safe to hold drinking water. If you're still not sure feel free to reach out here and we can confirm for you.
Securing your water or diesel tank to your vehicle will depend on a number of factors. Obviously the type of tank you've got, it's shape and where in the vehicle you would like to place it will determine how you'll go about securing it. Some tanks are designed in such a way as to 'slot in' to a space, such as the Footwell tanks (that fill in the footwell space in the back passanger cabin). Generally speaking though most tanks are held in place by straps. Some tanks also include nut inserts which can also be useful in creating a securing mechanism for your tank. There isn't really a one solution fits all approach. A couple of straps and some creativity should have you ready and going in no time.
Some of the water and fuel tanks include small threaded brass holes on the sides called nut inserts. A nut insert is a type of fastener with a hollow interior that's threaded and used to support a bolt. This useful feature can be used as part of a system to secure the tank in your vehicle.
There are 2x ½’’ outlets. The one by the filler and one on the opposite side on the bottom. The one by the filler is intended to be used with a breather.
If the water coming out of the tank has a strange chemical or plastic taste, the most likely cause is due to the source being used to fill the tank. For example, Plastic garden hoses will leave a plastic taste in the water. To avoid this you need to use food grade hoses to fill the tank. The easiest way to think of it is whatever goes into the tank is exactly what comes out.
If you want to mount your tank under your vehicle we recommend the WTP80 under tray water tank. This tank is made from a thicker plastic than the standard Boab tanks, and is better able to withstand the conditions experienced when mounted beneath the vehicle. Placing the 45L or 42L tank under the vehicle runs the risk of damage to the tank.

Although I have been out on the trails I haven't had to use the winch at this stage. The 11xp certainly looks the goods. Very happy with the fact this kit came with hand held, in cab and wireless remote.
NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL
Haven’t had a chance to fit it yet, but everything was exactly as described. Very good prompt service and good pricing.
